Lily of the Valley Spirit / Flower Essence for the Heart + Joy + Playfulness { inner child * inner strength * ancestral magic}
Lily of the Valley flower essence, crafted on my ancestral homeland, an allotment tended to for over 40 years by both my grandmother and mother, steeped in memories + magic. Their fragrance is so beautiful. I have many childhood memories with them, one of my favourite beings. I remember walking between carpets of Konwalias, {as we call them back home}, in the local park covering the Earth with tiny white flowers carrying such a big energy, and little me losing myself in their scent and magic. They have always been present in my grandmother’s allotment and always gracing our home with their presence.
Lily of the Valley is full of joy, happiness, and playfulness, reminiscent of a child’s innocent wonder. This openness, curiosity + trust. By nurturing this inner babe, child—the small, timeless part of you that is always safe, loved, enough, and worthy—you begin to leave behind all doubts. Embracing, accepting and loving all versions of yourself, levelling up, sharing your unique gifts, and expressing yourself with authenticity. No longer should you feel the need to shrink yourself. They are definitely heart medicine, in a way that heart is the guide. Of course. Heart always guides. Trusting in this heart intelligence allows for healing from the heavy burdens that stem from lifetimes filled with suffering, abandonment, rejection, and the belief that you are not good enough. I feel that Lily of the Valley works on both the heart and third eye, aiding us in lifting the veil of illusion so we can truly see our authentic selves beyond the stories and the “wounded parts” that do not define who we are at our core. These aspects are present not to limit us, but to foster our expansion and evolution. Stripping away all layers of societal conditioning to align with our true, authentic selves, leading us to a state of inner harmony.
I often think about the times when these plant friends show up in my life. Perhaps it’s something that I’m working through in that precise moment. Shedding old layers. Integrating new experiences. When my heart feels incredibly heavy and the path ahead seems uncertain and unclear. When an old identity is slowly dying, things start to feel a bit strange, and my body is adjusting to this new version of myself. In this liminal space, existing in a state of in-between-ness. Transitioning into the next phase.
Lily of the Valley truly feels like a reminder to bring back this childlike joy and innocence, inviting us to allow our hearts to guide the way forward. By embracing and focusing on ancestral beauty, wisdom, and the magic that flows through our lineages, we can embody this profound connection to our past. In remembering that we carry an abundance of beauty, love, and the wisdom codes deeply rooted in our blood and bones, we can nurture a richer understanding of who we are and where we come from.
Connect with Lily of the Valley: Flower essences are vibrational medicines that carry the energetic imprint of a plant. They are a safe way to work with baneful plant allies, as they don’t contain physical plant parts, just their unique spirit. Flower essences can facilitate profound healing and transformation, offering a pathway to deeper understanding and spiritual growth. They are very intuitive medicines, and I always encourage you to create a meaningful ritual, embark on a soul journey with a plant, journal, and pay close attention to the messages that arise in your dreams. Flower essences can stir up a lot within, so establishing a daily practice that resonates with you—whether it be meditation, dance, journaling, or another form of expression—is highly recommended. Start your journey by taking between 2-4 drops, welcoming the plant spirit into your consciousness. Flower essences can be applied to pulse points, the third eye, heart space, or sacral energy center, and they can even be added to a bath or your fav brew. You may choose to take this essence up to four times a day, for a week, two weeks, or even a couple of months, depending on your personal journey. Each experience is unique, and you will intuit when your work with the essence is complete. Lastly, reminder that we don’t always need to take flower essence to connect with the plant spirit. We can simply tune into our heart space and invite these powerful allies into our energetic field with intention and love.
