I am Kas, the alchemist behind Plant Magician Apothecary. I am a Mum, an Astroherbalist, and Earth Intuitive walking the plant path with deep reverence. My people are of Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Balkan + Baltic. I grew up in a home where gardening was a living prayer and growing food for medicine was a natural way of life. Some of my best childhood memories include spending time in my nana's allotment, picking redcurrants, gooseberries and grapes, fermenting sauerkraut and gherkins with my mama, wild swimming in lakes with my dad, and foraging for fungi and wild blackberries in the local forests. In my family lineage, many women shared a deep connection to the earth + spirit, working with plants for healing. There are so many sweet stories about Nettle and Roses. My great-grandmother on my father's side was a plant witch, medium, psychic, and card reader who always intrigued me. I vividly remember her crafting wild rosehip medicine, distilling spirits, and my ten-year-old self asking her for a card reading. From an early age, I had a connection to the unseen realms, being an intuitive and sensitive child with a rich dream life. I would spend hours hiding in the trees or talking to the stars. I often felt misunderstood and hid a lot of my experiences. As I grew up, I lost touch with these ways of relating and suppressed some of my innate gifts. Thankfully, plants found me again in the most beautiful way, calling me to be in service to them and the people.

My work revolves around deepening relationship with plants + planets, bridging earth and sky and remembering that we are also part of Nature. I am fascinated by all plant magic, alchemy, astrology, and psychology. My garden is my beloved, a living prayer, and a place where I speak to God. With my hands in the soil, I find clarity and purpose and where I am reminded of the interconnectedness of all things. Although I have studied various healing modalities with many beautiful humans, and hold many certificates, my greatest teachers have been Mama Earth, the Elements, the Plants, and Celestial Kin. Most of the plants I work with are grown from seeds by me or are respectfully wildcrafted, sourced from biodynamic farms. Each medicine is crafted in small batches, aligned with the rhythms of planetary cycles and infused with love, reverence, intention, prayers, and wisdom.
